Étoile started from a simple frustration: most advice about studying either oversells one trick as a cure-all, or buries a few genuinely useful ideas under a lot of noise. This is an attempt to do the opposite — short, plain-language notes on the handful of ideas about memory, attention, and routine that hold up reasonably well, and that are actually usable without special apps or equipment.
What you'll find here
Notes on building study routines, remembering what you learn, preparing for exams, and pacing yourself so studying doesn't take over everything else. Nothing here is specific to one subject, one school system, or one age group — the ideas are general enough to apply whether you're in school, studying for a professional exam, or picking up a new skill on your own.
What it isn't
It isn't a course, a product, or a method with a name attached to it. There's nothing to buy here. It's closer to a set of field notes, written and revised as new topics come up.
Who's behind it
Étoile is maintained independently. If you'd like to know more about the person or people behind a particular note, or want to suggest a correction, the contact page is the best way to reach out.
